Hello Michael, Thank you so much you input! You have just inspired me to create a theme for some of my blogs.... such as a blog on 'FLOW' or 'GRATITUDE'....inspiring my readers to focus on this way of being for at least a week to build momentum.
Thank you Lydia for your input. We can all have moments of feeling rejected, not just in the area of dating either. The trick is to catch yourself when you have these feelings and then challenge them so that you can create a more healthy perspective. May you experience much love, romance and passion in your life. Nadine x

I like to visit your site a couple times a week for new thoughts. I was wondering if you have any other niches you write about?

Very good advice and positive. Even at my age, over 60 and gorgeous, I need to take stock and learn from this as well.

The Good Soup, Thank you for sharing... it's certainly wonderful to hear that you have recovered from these feelings and now in a good place. It's amazing how may people suffer in silence and internalise the pain rather than seeking to understand and recover. In the end it's about self-love and you appear to be doing very nicely in that area.

You offer some really interesting points here, Nadine. I have sent months and months suffering (ok, years!) over being dumped, and it was very difficult to stop the negative, self hating thoughts from dominating. I few positive words like this would have helped immensely.

Thank you Jeff for your experience and insight here. I could definitely go much further with this topic.... since I wrote this article I have a slightly different perspective on Selfish vs Selfless vs Selfcare, however for the purpose of the article I think it is interesting to define the three as they are. Practitioners 'giving' is a great topic....as you have outline and most likely experienced, practitioners can feel that their job is about helping others to the detriment of their very own health as well as finances! I look forward chatting with you soon.

I couldn't agree more Nadine.
I am a Chinese Medicine practitioner and also train health care practitioners.
The tough job with clients is to convince them they are actually integral in how their lives turn out and self care is the first step no matter how small. With practitioners it is teaching them that to give 'selflessly' as you say leads very quickly to burnout and disillusion. We all have to take more responsibility for ourselves and seek the support we need to do this.
Great article
